Scratchboard (or scratch art) is a board coated with white clay and then covered with black ink. I scratch away the black to reveal the white underneath, building up light, texture, and detail. It’s a lot like drawing in reverse and gives portraits a distinctive, detailed look—great for fur and personality.
Yes. The standard size I work in is 5×7 inches, but I can do other sizes. Tell me what you have in mind when you submit a request, and we can work out size and pricing via email.
I do not handle framing but you can remove the glass from a 5x7 frame or you can mount it in a shadow box frame.
